Meet Max and Evie

In August, my son found the dog he had been looking for, for quite some time.  Meet Max!
Although details are somewhat sparse, it seems that Max was born under an abandoned house in Tennessee, and somehow found his way to a foster home in Connecticut.
He is what we call a Labradobie (Labrador Retriever/Doberman Pinscher mix).  He is almost 9 months old and is an absolute love!

Within a few weeks of my son adopting Max, he sent me a text message with this picture.  Along with the picture was a very short message.  It said, “Your turn, Mom.”
Oh yeah, you know where this went!  Meet Evie, Max’s sister!  We brought Evie home in September, and she too is such a joy!

Evie (on the left), and Max together again, when my son came for a visit last month.

Evie joins big “brother” Ziggy here at home.  They get along beautifully, and I think, are really so good for each other.

  9. OMG Lisa! I’m so glad other people recognize the wonder of adopting a rescue dog. Their hearts are so pure, genuine and appreciative. Love my Mom and Pup, Melody and Coco. Best decision we made to bring Mom up from St. Martin to join her pup. Best of luck to you and your son and all the dogs. I think that is fantastic!
