Curlicues

Curlicue:  a fancifully curved or spiral figure
(Merriam Webster)

I don’t know about you, but I could really use some green right now.  Which is very convenient, because I am using the winter to clean up my desktop (again!).  This means that you may very well be seeing several unseasonal things here from time to time.  I have countless folders of photos taken over the summer of 2017 (and probably spring too), that were just taken off of my camera, and then never touched again, until now.  So bear with me from time to time, and enjoy a little bit of warmer, more colorful weather.  Unless of course, you are in the Southern Hemisphere, in which case I SO envy you right now.  🙂
Have a wonderful week!

  10. beautiful knits of things to come. I don’t mind winter at all and tend to enjoy it most of the time. By April I’m ready for some spring. Stay warm!!

  11. Bring on the green! I love these sweet curlicues. I think 2018 is the year my husband and I are going to relocate south. Winters become harder and harder for us. We want more green and less cold! Fingers crossed.

    • In times such as we’ve had weather-wise (winters), I am sometimes tempted to think about the same, Val, but as much as I no longer care for the cold and snow, it’s all I’ve ever known, and I think I would miss it horribly were I to relocate. However, I am excited for you!!
Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for your visit!

  12. A term (Curlicues) I was not familiar with, yet it’s so poetically perfect for the subject matter. Your macro prowess captures the cues and curls of the Curlicues with smooth unabashed elegance. That said, winter offer a whole new world to explore. 🙂 But I cannot deny my bones do ache for warmth. lol

  13. Awwww, you really made me smile today with those adorable curlicues! And, by all means, clean out those summer photo folders and share them with us! We’re having a temperature drop of 44 degrees today with a high this morning of 56 and a low tonight of 12. Brrrrrr……will definitely like to see something green! 😉 xoxoxo

    • I’m glad these made you smile, Lisa!
We were at 64 degrees, less than 24 hours ago. Now? 7 inches of snow on top of 2 inches of ice, and 8 degrees. Tomorrow will not be above 0. 😦
Spent the entire morning clearing snow, but now inside to stay, and warm!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend, and thank you for your visit.
      xo.

    • Awwww, thank you, Debbie. I used to consistently post at least once a week but really got away from that over the past couple of years. Maybe if I had, I would not have all of these pictures floating around. In a way though, it’s kind of nice to look back over my year. Makes the whole tedious process a whole lot less boring.
      xo.

  17. When all nature is brown and dry, the freshness of color, and growth on your blog help bright my days, Lisa. Going through my photo library at the end of the year is my usual routine, as a new year begins, and the old one is behind. Finding a few surprises to post is the best part of the culling process. Thanks for sharing your curlicues! Your photography is always a delight to see. Have a wonderful day, sweet friend.

    • Thank you so much, Beverly! You know, at the beginning of each year, I always tell myself, “I will never do this again. I will not let photos accumulate over an entire year.” But of course, I do not keep my promise to myself!! 🙂 Oh well, 2018 is another chance!!
I hope it’s gotten warmer where you are and wish you a wonderful rest of the week, sweet friend.
      xo.

    Happy New Year Lisa.
